[EN] We are co-creating a Polish-Belgian Labour Law Seminar

On 29 September 2026, Warsaw will host the next edition of BBC Circle: People & Diversity, dedicated to the practical differences between the labour law systems of Poland and Belgium.

Wojewódka i Wspólnicy law firm is proud to be one of the co-creators of this international initiative, bringing our labour law expertise and experience in advising employers in Poland to a broader, cross-border discussion.

The event is being developed in cooperation with the Belgian Business Chamber, hub.brussels and our Belgian colleagues from Clarity Legal. Importantly, Wojewódka i Wspólnicy and Clarity Legal are both members of the International Labour Law Network (ILLN), an international alliance bringing together independent law firms specialising in employment and labour law.

For our Firm, the Warsaw meeting is a tangible result of the relationships and cooperation developed within ILLN. It demonstrates how an international professional network can go beyond the exchange of knowledge between lawyers and lead to concrete joint initiatives involving law firms, business organisations and public institutions.

This cooperation is particularly important to us. At Wojewódka i Wspólnicy, we believe that effective advice in employment law increasingly requires an international perspective. Employers operate across jurisdictions, employees move between countries, and HR policies developed at the group level must function within different national legal frameworks. Close cooperation with trusted labour law specialists from other jurisdictions therefore forms an important part of our approach to supporting clients with cross-border matters.

The meeting in Warsaw puts this approach into practice. Together with our Belgian colleagues from Clarity Legal, our lawyers will present the Polish perspective and compare it with Belgian employment law, highlighting differences that may have significant practical consequences for businesses operating in both markets.

The discussion will address key areas of the employment relationship, including:

• hiring employees and probation periods;
• termination of employment and dismissal protection;
• discrimination and harassment;
• pension rules.

The seminar is furthermore an example of the synergy between several organisations working across borders. The combination of legal expertise provided by Wojewódka i Wspólnicy and Clarity Legal, the business community gathered around the Belgian Business Chamber, and the institutional perspective of hub.brussels creates a platform where international cooperation translates into practical knowledge for employers.

For Wojewódka i Wspólnicy, this initiative represents precisely the kind of international cooperation we seek to develop within ILLN: practical, relationship-driven and focused on creating real value for businesses operating across jurisdictions.

The invitation-only event will take place on 29 September 2026, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Warsaw.

We are pleased to co-create this initiative and look forward to welcoming participants in Warsaw, sharing our experience with Polish labour law, and continuing to strengthen our international cooperation within the International Labour Law Network.
